73-55-5-5-55-73 presents an impressionistic illustration of a frenetic freeway trip, tending toward a palindromic structure with there and back depicted simultaneously. This video continues my aesthetic vignette toward psychically-oriented mashups, attempting to extract new forms and relationships from a semi-chaotic editing process based on a general theme. Viewers may also detect deliberate notes of Vertov and Brakhage in this piece.
As with much of my other video work, this version is rendered and made available as a Photo JPG Quicktime .mov for those who would use it in real-time video applications. This version is much shorter (0:20) than the original (2:01).
